Sripathi Buddhist temple is the home of Sri Ratanajoti Foundation. The temple provides religious services to local community. Under the leadership of Ven. Attangane Sasanaratana Maha Thero, resident monks offer Dhamma sermons, blessing services, spiritual counseling and Buddhist rites.
The serene environment of the temple which includes a large Bodhi tree provides solace to many visitors.
A key element of this temple is the novice monks training center (Pirivena). It provides residential training for novice monks of Sripathi Buddhist temple and other neighboring temples in the area. About 30 novice monks are receiving the monastic training that covers self-discipline, scriptural education, spiritual development and social services.
In educational training the curriculum includes Buddhist (Dhamma) Studies, Pali, Sanskrit and English languages and other academic subjects such as Mathematics, Sociology and Science etc. This training places special emphasis on orientating the monks towards community service and their role in imparting moral values and spiritual guidance to the villagers.
